An important part of troubleshooting or setting up a connection to the internet is making sure that you have the correct network settings setup on your computer. The instructions below will help you make sure your settings are accurate.
NOTE: These settings assume that Internet America is the ONLY ISP that your are connecting to. If you dial into another ISP or your work LAN, VPN, or other services, they may require different settings than the ones shown here. If you already have settings in your network configuration to connect, changing them may result in you not being able to connect to these other services.Begin by selecting the Apple Menu:
- Click on Apple Menu, then choose System Preferences.

The System Preferences window is displayed.
- Click on the Network icon.

TCP/IP Setup
The Network window opens.
- Click on the TCP/IP tab.
- In the Configure drop down list, select Using PPP.
- In the Domain Name Servers box, type 209.44.180.53. On the next line, type 209.44.180.58.
- In the Search Domains box, type airmail.net.
- Click the Apply Now button.
- Close the Network window completely.
