Dial-up Settings: Windows 2000

Checking Network Settings: Windows 2000

Windows 2000

An important part of troubleshooting or setting up a connection to the internet is making sure that you have the correct network settings setup on your computer. The instructions below will help you make sure your settings are accurate.

NOTE: These settings assume that Internet America is the ONLY ISP that your are connecting to. If you dial into another ISP or your work LAN, VPN, or other services, they may require different settings than the ones shown here. If you already have settings in your network configuration to connect, changing them may result in you not being able to connect to these other services.

Begin by opening the Control Panel:

  • Click on the Start Menu, choose All Programs, then choose Control Panel.
