Making the Most of your Local Service

Internet America’s VoiceDashboard provides you with immediate and total control over your most often used telephone features. Commonly used basic features such as Call Forward, Call Forward Busy, Do Not Disturb and Voice Mail are included. Telephone features are easy to set up and edit when you access your IA’s User Portal.

Login Instructions
Login
  • Enter your Login and Password.
  • Your telephone number will always be your Login.
  • 1234 is your temporary Password. We highly recommend that you customize your password.

You will be taken to your personal VoiceDashboard landing page. Before you begin setting up your features we highly recommend that you set up your Password.


Change your password

Change your Password by selecting Settings and following the directions below:

  1. Password
    Press the “Change” button. You will be asked to type your new password in two separate dialogue boxes. After typing your new password in each, select “OK”.

  1. Time Zone
    The time zone will be automatically set to your zone. Select the dropdown button Settings: General - Time Zone to change.

  1. Voicemail
    Selecting “Enable” will allow callers to leave voice mail for you. If “Enable’ is not selected callers will be unable to leave a voice mail. The remaining 3 options are self explanatory and can be selected based on your personal preferences.
  2. Greetings
    You may record and select up to 7 voicemail greetings. To record, select the number of the greeting you wish to record, and then press the record button. Enter your phone number, then your phone will ring and you will be prompted to record. Press # at the end of your recording. To select which greeting you wish for callers to hear, you may select it from the Voicemail Greeting dropdown. You may also play this greeting, by pressing the play button.
  3. Unified Messaging No longer call your voicemail to retrieve messages!
    Enable this feature, enter your email address in the second box and click “Ok”.
    Activate this feature and you will receive an email each time you get a voicemail. Listen to your voicemail on your PC (PC must have sound card and speaker). Email Notification

    The email notification will look similar to the sample below. Follow the instructions on the notification and listen to your voicemail.

    Each notification will identify the originating caller (if available).

    There are 6 options available in the Unified Messaging dropdown list.

    1. Disable
    2. Enable, hyperlink (text) - Hyperlink text will provide you a text link to listen to your voicemail.
    3. Enable, hyperlink (html) - Hyperlink html will provide a web application to listen
    4. Enable, attachment (leave as new) - Have the voicemail attachment sent to your inbox.
    5. Enable, attachment (move to saved) - Have the voicemail attachment sent to your saved.
    6. Enable, attachment (move to trash) - Have the voicemail attachment sent to your trash.

  1. Ring Time
    Set the time your phone will ring before going to a forward you have set or to your voicemail. Select from zero to 60 seconds. For example, 15 seconds equals approximately 3 or 4 rings.
  2. Do Not Disturb (DND)
    When you click this box your phone is in DND, calls will not ring at your phone, but will go directly to voicemail.
  3. Forward Always
    Select this feature and place a valid number (10 digit number) in the box then all incoming calls will be forwarded to the destination number you entered.
  4. Forward Busy
    If you are on a call, your calls will go to the number you placed in the forward busy box.
  5. Forward No Answer
    Calls will ring at your phone for a preset time, and then go to the number you placed in the forward no answer box. Go to the Ring Time feature to preset your ring time.
  6. Find Me Follow Me Ring multiple numbers simultaneously!
    Place the numbers (10 digits) you wish to ring when you are called and check the simultaneous ring box. You can add up to 6 destination numbers.
  7. For example, you can have your home phone and your cell phone ring simultaneously when you have an inbound call.

  1. Click to Call, Settings, Help and Log Out
    Select “Click to Call” and a dialogue box will appear. Enter a phone number (10-digit) then select “Call”. You can initiate a call from the VoiceDashboard or from your home phone!

    Click on “Settings” and you will find a number of useful options such as Password settings, Unified Messaging and Find Me Follow Me service. Click here details.

  1. Home Panel: Voicemail
    This panel allows you to display your Voicemail or History of all your inbound and outbound calls. It toggles between Voicemail and call History based on what is selected.

    The New, Saved and Trashed tabs will help you organize your voicemails.

    Clicking on the number in blue will dial it. Your phone will ring; when you answer the call will be completed.

    The icons will make it simple and easy to manage your voicemails.

    • Play – Select to have your PC play the voicemail. Clicking it again will stop the player.
    • Click to Play – Select to have your main phone play your voicemail. Be prepared to answer your main phone to listen to the voicemail.
    • Add to Contacts – A dialogue box will appear. Enter your contact information then
    • Move to Saved – Move voicemail to your Saved tab.
    • Move to Trash – Move your voicemail to your Trash.
    Home Panel: History
    This panel contains all inbound and outbound call history organized into 5 columns of data. Most of the call data in the columns is self explanatory. Below we detail the use of the Direction and Disposition icons.

    • Disposition Primarily used in a business environment.
      Select the icon and a dialogue box appearsthat displays call detail and allows you to enter notes. This feature allows you to add notes to calls.
  1. Activity
    Your current call status is displayed.
  1. Contacts
    Keep all your contacts organized and in a single location. Individually add each contact or select Import to add your contacts from Outlook, Outlook Express, Yahoo!, Google (export as Outlook), or Hotmail.

    You can import contacts in the CSV file format (Comma Separated Values). Each of the email programs listed above allow you to export data into a CSV file format that can then be imported into Contacts.
